Gäng Hü – first teaser

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

I have been exploring the wild and wicked world of Objective C and the lovely cocos2d-library lately and currently try to build a little game heavily inspired by my favourite game for the Sony PSP: Patapon. The temporary title of it is “Gäng Hü”, which is Bärndütsch (that funny Swiss-German dialect I call my native tongue) for “Go for it”.

The full game will be a lot more polished, contain more options and intelligent enemies and will be translated into more languages – am currently thinking about German, English and Japanese, if you want it in your language included and willing to send me translations, please let me know – something like Gaelic, Cymraeg or Korean would be lovely!

Anyway, I try to keep you updated as soon as there will be more to see, please enjoy your first look on this very work-in-progress version:

Summer has finally arrived and I have built a tiny mobile web-page to quickly see the conditions of the river Aare in Marzili Bern:

Nihongo updated

I have lately updated my Japanese <-> English translation site enhanced for the iPhone (or other mobile devices).

It basically offers a Google-translation, but adds Romaji, Hiragana and Katakana readings using JDict:

Clicking the linked Japanese words will translate these while clicking any other character in Hiragana, Katakana or Kanji will show it’s stroke order:
